I am not proud of this, but perhaps it's time to come clean about what I did the day of the sixth-grade model presentations.
Each student had to build a model of a Greek temple. I spent a lot of time making mine, and on the day of the show-and-tell, I was excited to see my friends’ reactions when they saw it. But when I arrived, everyone was admiring another classmate's model. No one showed any interest in mine. I was so stung that before the presentations, when nobody was watching, I broke two columns of the most popular model.
No estoy orgullosa de esto, pero quizás ya es tiempo de decir la verdad sobre lo que hice el día de las exposiciones de maquetas en sexto grado.
Cada estudiante debía construir una maqueta de algún templo griego. Yo pasé mucho tiempo haciendo la mía, y el día de la presentación estaba emocionada por ver las reacciones de mis amigas cuando la vieran. Pero cuando llegué, todas admiraban la maqueta de otra compañera. Nadie mostró ningún interés por la mía. Estaba tan picada que antes de las presentaciones, cuando nadie estaba viendo, rompí dos columnas de la maqueta más popular.
