When I moved to Belgium, I started calling real estate agencies looking for an apartment to rent. In one of them, the answering machine answered me, so I tried to leave a voice message in English with my phone number so that he could then contact me. At the moment to say my phone number, I couldn't remember it by heart since it was a number that I had recently bought when I arrived in Belgium. Then I shouted out loud "soy de madera" and ended the call. I still wonder if that person could understand my message.

En una de ellas me atendió el contestador automático, entonces intenté dejarle grabado un mensaje en inglés con mi número de teléfono para que luego se comunique conmigo. Cuando llegó el momento de decir mi número de teléfono no lo recordaba de memoria ya que era un número que había adquirido recientemente al llegar a Bélgica. Entonces grité en voz alta "soy de madera" y corté la llamada. Aún me pregunto si esa persona pudo entender mi mensaje.
