"To send your cat" means that you told someone you'd show up
but you didn't
Last summer I had a student job until the end of August. But on August 30 I had a concert planned and was planning on making a day of it. Because my student job didn't allow me to take the day off (even though I had finished all of my work the week before), I decided to send my cat on my last day. Which basically means that I decided not to go to work and I really enjoyed the concert.
Vorige zomer had ik een studentenjob tot eind augustus. Maar ik had tickets voor een concert op 30 augustus. En ik had afgesproken om er een daguitstap van de maken. Aangezien mijn studentenjob mij niet toeliet om een dag verlof te nemen (ondanks ik al mijn werk de week voordien had afgewerkt), besloot ik om mijn kat te sturen. Long story short, ik ben niet gaan werken en heb enorm genoten van het concert.
