I was always competitive, which came out when I played board games. I remember a summer my whole family spent at the beach in which, for several nights, I lost in every game. I was stung, so one night, playing UNO, I cheated. Each round I hid a card under the towel on my legs, and I was finally able to be the first to scream UNO! But I got so excited that I jumped and the hidden cards flew out. Everyone looked at me judgingly, and my grandmother said: "An ice cream truck is going to run you over".
Siempre fui muy competitiva, cosa que salía a relucir cuando jugaba algún juego de mesa. Recuerdo un verano que pasamos en la playa con toda la familia en el que durante varias noches perdí en todos los juegos. Estaba picada, así que una noche, jugando UNO, hice trampa. Cada ronda escondí una carta debajo de la toalla que tenía en mis piernas, y finalmente pude ser la primera en gritar ¡UNO! Pero me emocioné tanto que brinqué y salieron volando las cartas escondidas. Todos me miraron feo, y mi abuela me dijo: “Te va a llevar un carrito de helados”.
